The Most Profitable Niches on Whop (Data from 70,000+ Products)
Not all Whop niches are created equal. We analyzed data from 70,000+ products across every category on the marketplace to answer one question: where is the money?
How We Measured "Profitable"
A truly profitable niche isn't just about total revenue. We evaluated categories across four dimensions:
- Total estimated revenue — How much money flows through the category
- Health score (0-100) — A composite of growth, competition, innovation, and quality
- Revenue per product — Average earnings, which matters more than total volume
- Market concentration (HHI) — Whether a few players dominate or revenue is distributed
Key Findings
High Revenue, High Competition
The top-revenue categories are predictable — trading communities, investing signals, and sports picks dominate. But these categories also have the highest market concentration, meaning the top 3 products capture 50-70% of all revenue.
Breaking in is hard. Unless you have a genuinely differentiated angle, these categories reward established players.
The Sweet Spots
The most interesting categories are those with high health scores (above 65) and moderate competition (HHI below 2000). These are niches where:
- Demand is proven (revenue exists)
- The market isn't locked up by incumbents
- New products are still launching and succeeding
Underrated Opportunities
Categories with high innovation rates (lots of new products in the last 30 days) but moderate total revenue often represent emerging opportunities. These are the niches where demand is growing but the market hasn't consolidated yet.
